Realise Your Dream - Please

I went back up to Sydney for the finals of the British Council Realise Your Dream competition.
We were very well looked after at the Sir Stamford Hotel Circular Quay. It was tempting to stay this cosy the whole trip!


These guys were also in to the cosy thing. I bought their album and it is in Tokyo now.
Here are the 12 finalists looking happy, and well fed, after a big dinner at the head of the British Councils house. Lovely. All these people work their butts off 8 days a week so it was nice to be in the same room, all nerds, all excited about our futures and stuff. All from different creative fields, art Directors, fashion designer, stylist, tv writer, visual artists, textile designer, awesome animator, magazine editor, my favourite VJ Jasper (see www.vjzoo.com). He has some cool pics on on his flcker page too!

The lovely Kat (who is VERY helpful and charming indeed) eloped from WA and married Jasper in Sydney! Fun! Congrats! What a match!

Grattis på födelsedagen

By chance Ryan was on the same flight from Sydney to Melbourne. Words cannot describe the flight home... Like travelling with my own Jim Carey, Ryan rehersed lines out loud, said funny stuff and umm... severely OFFENDED not one, but many Krispy Creme bulk buyers... Twas awkward... very awkward... but I hope to do it again some time! We had an ear phone each and bopped to some odd RnB, pretended to 'reverse the car' and hoochie mama dance whilst seated with fastened seatbelts. A lovely trip away!

I found an earring on the ground at Ding Dong and made it my mission to find its owner! After a little hunt staring at girls ears and getting funny looks.. I found her! I found my Cinderella. And Might I add she was THRILLED to meet me - her knght in shining.. Umm.. actually she became fixated with me for my kind heart and the fact she thought I looked like Charlotte from Sex and The City? I don't really watch it but she gave me lots of hugs and we danced a lot. The guy tryng to pick her up looked pretty peeved I was cutting his lunch... but hey - when given the opportunity to play a Prince - I will anyday!

Yah for Nicole for capturing the fun, clearly! I have enough photos from that night to make me laugh til the next children and animals shoot.


Being in a very good sound studio AND listening to Hari's voice all day... too good! 6am starts are hard... and I am always suprised at how many people are up that early walking around looking normal.. Even the shops opposite our house are open! That I never knew!
